Purpose and use
Extract game or CG masks by channel, or combine four equally sized maps into R, G, B, and A.
Example
For RGBA (10,20,30,40), the R map has gray value 10 and the A map 40. Repacking restores all four values.
Interpreting the result
Provide inputs in R, G, B, A order. Packing reads the red channel of each map without luminance conversion or resizing.
Limits and caveats
Supports non-interlaced 8-bit grayscale, RGB, and RGBA PNG. Indexed, 16-bit, animated, and tRNS PNGs are unsupported. Output is a data PNG without a color profile.
