300 PPI in both directions at 254×203.2 mm
Input and settings
3000×2400 px / 254×203.2 mm / Target 300 PPI / No image needed
Expected result
Horizontal 300.00 / vertical 300.00 PPI. Target requires 3000×2400 pixels.

PPI describes image pixels per inch; DPI describes printer dots. A value such as 300 PPI does not guarantee print quality. Mismatched aspect ratios require cropping or stretching.
Up to 268.4 MB per image. Oriented dimensions are read from headers without decoding the full image.
Check horizontal and vertical effective PPI from pixel and physical dimensions.

3000×2400 px / 254×203.2 mm / Target 300 PPI / No image needed
Horizontal 300.00 / vertical 300.00 PPI. Target requires 3000×2400 pixels.
Same 3000×2400 px / 10×10 inch / Target 300 PPI / Do not apply the paper preset
Horizontal 300.00 / vertical 240.00 PPI. Target is 3000×3000 px: 600 more vertical pixels.
PPI equals pixels divided by inches. Required pixels round upward. Aspect ratio is not locked, so horizontal and vertical PPI can differ. Selecting a paper preset changes dimensions only after Apply paper size.
Calculation works without an image. Loading reads header dimensions; manual pixel values are also accepted. One image up to 256 MiB; dimensions 1–1,000,000 px; physical values up to 10,000; target PPI up to 2400. No image resampling or print-quality guarantee. Restore includes the original image and all manual overrides.
Independently derive 300/300 and 300/240 from 25.4 mm per inch. Restore manually overridden pixels and hidden paper settings after both examples.
Printing 3000×2400 px at 254×203.2 mm gives 300 PPI horizontally and vertically. At a target of 300 PPI, the required dimensions are also 3000×2400 px. If the two PPI values differ, check the image and print aspect ratios. This tool displays calculations; it does not resize images or create print files.
The original files are unchanged. Calculations are displayed on screen; the tool does not resize images or create print files.
