About this tool
Quoted commas, escaped quotes, and line breaks inside fields are parsed correctly. The preview shows up to 200 rows and 50 columns, with TSV detected automatically.
Files over 5 MB are rejected to limit browser memory use. Data is neither stored nor uploaded; normalized CSV is downloaded directly to your device.
A comma inside quotes stays in one cell
A CSV with “name,note” followed by “A,"red, blue"” is parsed as two rows and two columns. The second row’s note is one cell containing “red, blue”.
- The delimiter is detected automatically from commas, tabs and semicolons. There is no manual selector. If detection is incorrect, check the source delimiter and quoting.
- The preview does not prove that data types or source encoding are correct. Recheck row and column structure in the destination application.

How to read the result
The first row is displayed as a header and counted as a row. CSV syntax quotes are removed from cell values. Saving normalizes to comma separators, CRLF and a UTF-8 BOM, quoting cells where required.
Scope and limits
The preview is limited to the first 200 rows and 50 columns; input is limited to 5,000,000 bytes. File input uses the browser’s text reader, so convert other encodings first. This does not neutralize spreadsheet formulas. Display the table again after editing input.
Verification: rows, fields, quoting and CRLF from existing parseDelimited and formatDelimited functions are checked against the browser table and downloaded bytes.

Preview limits and saved rows are different
A CSV with 201 parsed rows displays only the first 200. Saving normalized CSV includes all 201 parsed rows. The first row is displayed as a header but is not removed from the saved data.
Files are read with the browser text() method and exported as UTF-8 CSV. There is no selectable Shift_JIS or other encoding conversion. If characters are garbled, use a source file converted to UTF-8.
