About this tool
Image upload remains available when camera access is unsupported. On compatible browsers, the rear camera can scan after you grant permission.
Images, video frames, and decoded content are not stored or sent to an external decoder. URLs are displayed rather than opened automatically.

The result is QR data, not a guarantee of content safety or destination legitimacy. Review URLs or instructions before acting. Examples use image reading only and never start the camera.
Scope and limits
One JPEG/PNG/WebP up to 10 MB and 40 megapixels. Large images are downscaled for scanning and small codes may be missed. One detected code is shown, not a batch list. Examples are blocked while a camera is active/starting and do not alter permissions or device settings.
Read two codes from a different encoder; verify original file/result restoration and protection against late reads overwriting a newer image.

Reading a URL does not verify its destination
A QR image containing https://example.com/ displays that text. The page does not open it automatically.
Decoding extracts the QR contents; it does not assess destination safety or ownership. Check the domain and spelling before using a URL.
