Cover the middle two columns with opaque black
Input and settings
A red/blue 4×2 px PNG; add x=1, y=0, width=2, height=2.
Expected result
Still 4×2 px; each row is red/black/black/blue. Black pixels have alpha 255.
Cover selected image regions with opaque black and save an original-size PNG. Use it to hide visible details such as names or addresses.

Image limits: 40 MB, 70 megapixels and 16,384 px per edge. At most 100 regions; output PNG at most 96 MB. Memory estimates may reject otherwise valid sizes.
Drag over the image to add a region. For keyboard operation, use the numeric fields and Add region below.
Coordinates use original display-oriented pixels, with X=0 and Y=0 at the top left. Use plain integers, positive width and height, and keep each region inside the image.
Specify cover rectangles and verify the affected pixels in the saved image.
Example buttons replace the inputs and settings above and calculate. Restore previous input steps back one example at a time. After trying multiple examples, repeat restore to return to your original input. This history is lost when the page closes.

Two 1×1 px regions: top-left (0,0) and bottom-right (3,1).
Exactly two black pixels; the other six red/blue pixels and dimensions are preserved.
Coordinates are source-display pixels from the top left after orientation. Adding a region and generating the PNG are separate actions. Check the downloaded image as well as the preview.
One JPEG/PNG/WebP up to 40 MB, 70 megapixels and 16,384 px per edge; at most 100 rectangles. Estimated-memory and 96 MB output limits apply. Opaque black covers pixels, but this is not a guarantee that all personal data, including filenames, is removed. Restore includes existing regions and unsubmitted numeric inputs.
Calculate black pixels independently for two rectangle sets, then verify every exported RGBA value and restoration of original regions.
Choose one image. Drag over the details to hide, or enter X, Y, width and height and add a region. Add multiple regions and remove entries to adjust them. Check the covered areas, create a PNG and save it.
Selected rectangular pixels are replaced with opaque black in a flat PNG image. The cover is not a temporary CSS overlay or a removable layer. No blur or automatic detection is performed; choose the details to hide.
The original file is unchanged. The preview is reduced to a maximum edge of 1,200 px, while the saved PNG uses the browser-decoded original display dimensions. JPEG orientation is applied and the saved dimensions are shown. No resized export is made.
Dragged regions are converted to original coordinates and rounded outward to whole pixels. Numeric fields allow single-pixel regions. Transparent pixels inside a region also become opaque black.
Details outside selected regions remain visible. Open the downloaded image and check that all intended text, faces, reflections or surrounding details are covered. Avoid sharing the original image along with it.
Rendering a new PNG does not carry over the source EXIF data. Complete color or metadata preservation and animation are not guaranteed. Unlike metadata removal, this tool covers details visible inside the image.
Encoded size, dimensions and estimated original-size processing memory are checked before decoding. Pixel buffers and reserves use a 256 MB budget on limited-memory devices and 1 GB otherwise. Oversized work is rejected without silently resizing the export. Browser internals may still fail within these limits.
Changing the image, fields or regions clears old output. Cancel retains the image and regions; reset clears the image, regions and output. Native operations may need to finish, but delayed results are discarded and cannot be saved.
Images, output and filenames stay in your browser and are neither stored nor sent. SVG, GIF and HEIC are unsupported.
Yes. The PNG replaces the selected pixels with opaque black. Check the covered areas in the downloaded image.
No. A separate PNG is created. The original image still contains the details you covered.
Try a smaller image. Byte, dimension and memory limits reject oversized work without silently reducing saved pixels.

Keep any content you need before clearing. This tool does not autosave inputs or results. Reloading or closing the page, clearing inputs or resetting may discard your work.
