About this tool

The default cycle is 25 minutes of work followed by a five-minute break. Each completed work period increments the session count.

The tool deliberately avoids task management and notification permissions. Timer state is not stored.

Try a use case and check the result

Check work/break transitions and how a manual skip changes the count.

Example buttons replace the inputs and settings above and calculate. Restore previous input steps back one example at a time. After trying multiple examples, repeat restore to return to your original input. This history is lost when the page closes.

Prepare 25-minute work and 5-minute breaks

Input and settings

Work 25 min / Break 5 min / Reset without starting

Expected result

Work / 00:25:00 / Work sessions completed: 0

See what Skip means with one-minute settings

Input and settings

Work 1 min / Break 1 min / Reset, then Skip

Expected result

Break / 00:01:00 / Work sessions completed: 1. This does not prove one minute of actual work.

How to read the result

Skip ends the current phase and moves to the next. Skipping work also increments completed sessions by one. Examples stay stopped; moving from break to work does not increment the count.

Scope and limits

Use whole minutes: work 1–180, break 1–60. Pause a running timer before applying/restoring an example. Restore includes phase, remaining time and completed count. Reload loses state. Background phase advancement depends on browser update timing.

Independently check 25×60,000 and 1×60,000 ms, count +1 for work→break and +0 for break→work. Restore a nondefault paused break after both examples.

How completed sessions are counted

After 25 minutes of work, the timer switches to a break and shows one completed work session. After a five-minute break, the next work phase starts.

The count increases by one whenever work switches to a break.

Skipping a work phase with Next also increases the count. The count does not prove that the full configured work duration was spent working.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the durations?

Yes. Change work and break minutes while the timer is stopped.

What does Skip do?

It ends the current work or break period and moves to the next phase.

Is the session count saved?

No. It returns to zero after a reload.
